DPRK's Army Day Celebrated in Different Countries
Pyongyang, May 5 (KCNA) -- A seminar for the study of the Songun idea, a DPRK book and photo exhibition and a film show took place in Pakistan and film shows in Finland and Nepal from April 23 to 25 on the occasion of the 77th founding anniversary of the heroic Korean People's Army.

Displayed in the venues of the events were works of President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il and photos showing their immortal feats performed in commanding the army.

Speeches were made at the events.

Akrak Aktar Hamidi, chairman of the Pakistan Association for Self-Reliance Studies, praised Kim Il Sung as the outstanding thinker and theoretician and man of action in the 20th century who founded the immortal Juche idea, the Songun idea, saving the destiny of the Korean nation and putting an end to the colonial rule of the Japanese imperialists.

Zabed Ansari, secretary general of the Pakistan Association for Self-Reliance Studies, said that under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il, the KPA has developed into the invincible armed forces strong in political, ideological, military and technical potentials, firmly protecting the sovereignty and security of the DPRK.

Taji Haider, former senator from the Pakistan People's Party, noted that thanks to the ever-victorious Songun politics enforced by Kim Jong Il the peace and security on the Korean Peninsula are firmly guaranteed and the KPA has grown into invincible powerful armed forces capable of beating back any aggressors.

Kalevi Warman, chairman of the Finnish Communists' Association, noted that the friends of Korea in Finland expressed full support and solidarity to the just cause of the Korean people to win the final victory of the socialist cause, foiling all moves of the imperialists.

Participants in the film shows watched DPRK films "The 75th Founding Anniversary of the Heroic Korean People's Army" and "Reply of DPRK" and introductory documentaries "The Tower of the Juche Idea" and "Extravaganza Arirang."

A letter to Kim Jong Il was adopted at the function held in Finland.
