Actions to Force Japan to Settle Its Past Crimes Called for in S. Korea
Pyongyang, April 29 (KCNA) -- Representatives of more than 50 civic and social organizations in south Korea including the All-People Committee for Proper Settlement of Past and the Council for the Solution of the Issue of the Volunteers Corps held a meeting in Seoul on April 25 at which they called on the people from all walks of life to turn out in the struggle to force Japan to settle the past crimes committed by the Japanese imperialists.

The speakers at the meeting accused Japan of recently behaving shamelessly while justifying the Japanese imperialists' aggression against Korea and colonial rule over it in the past far from apologizing for them.

It is an important duty of the civic and social organizations to eliminate the sycophantic forces serving Japan, they said, declaring that they can never pardon the present "government" which calls for "improving the relations" with Japan whitewashing its past crimes.

All the people should stage actions to force Japan to make an apology and reparation for its past crimes irrespective of faction and affiliation and all the members of the Korean nation should share the will and get united close, they stressed.

They called on all the Koreans to actively turn out in the all-people struggle to force Japan to settle its past crimes.
