The statement condemned the Seoul Central District Court for holding a trial that day where it labeled the solidarity as an "enemy-benefiting organization" and sentenced to penal servitude the hardcore members of the solidarity.

It said that the case of the solidarity was faked up by the security authorities pursuant to the Lee Myung Bak regime's policy for confrontation with the DPRK.

Noting that the solidarity has conducted positive activities to implement the June 15 joint declaration since its formation, the statement condemned the present regime for suppressing the solidarity, the organization for the reunification movement, after branding it as an "illegal organization" overnight.

It urged the judicial authorities to cancel the unreasonable judgment upon the solidarity and set free its hardcore members at once.

It noted that the solidarity would wage a more dynamic struggle to have the "Security Law" abolished and defend and implement the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration despite the brutal suppression by the authorities.
