Large-scale Anti-"Government" Struggle Declared in S. Korea
Pyongyang, April 23 (KCNA) -- At least 500 civic and public organizations of south Korea including the People's Council for Livelihood and Democracy held a press conference in Seoul on April 20 at which they said that the people from all walks of life would solidarize with each other in the large-scale struggle to judge the Lee Myung Bak regime with May Day as a momentum.

At the press conference speakers deplored that the people's living has been deteriorated and democracy ruthlessly trampled down in south Korea since Lee Myung Bak came to power.

Now is the time for the people from all walks of life, to say nothing of workers, peasants, youth and students, to pool their efforts, they said, underlining the need to hold an all-people meeting with more than 100,000 people of all social standings attending on May Day and thus intensify the struggle against the unpopular policy of the Lee Myung Bak regime.

This struggle will continue till the anniversary of the June 10 resistance, they said, calling upon all the people in different parts of south Korea to turn out in the struggle to force the traitorous regime to step down.
