Recalling that recently the UNSC adopted the "presidential statement" by branding the DPRK's satellite launch as a "missile launch", the statement said that this breached the spirit of the UN Charter as it is another discrimination of the UNSC against the DPRK.

It said that the UNSC is escalating the regional tension by keeping the nuclear hegemonic position of big powers and making only the interests of such countries as Japan absolute under the manipulation of the United States, far from giving a helping hand to the reunification and social economic development of Korea and the realization of the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.

The International Liaison Committee holds that the UNSC whose legitimacy was lost should be reformed, the statement said, stressing that the "presidential statement" of the UNSC carries no binding force and UN member nations have no legal duty to implement it.

On the same day the All India Indo-Korean Friendship Association issued a statement at which it denounced the UNSC's adoption of "presidential statement" as a crime of challenging the DPRK's independent right to conduct the space development for peaceful purposes and an act contrary to the outer space treaty.
