Pyongyang, April 15 (KCNA) -- A friendly gathering with staff members of the Indonesian embassy here took place at the Taedonggang Diplomatic Corps Club on April 14 on the occasion of the 44th anniversary of the historic visit to Indonesia paid by General Secretary Kim Jong Il in company with President Kim Il Sung.
Present there on invitation were Daulat Hotma Audison Passaribu, Indonesian ambassador to the DPRK, and staff members of his embassy and Indonesian guests staying in the DPRK.
Jon Yong Jin, vice-chairman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries who is chairman of the DPRK-Indonesia Friendship Association, and officials concerned were on hand.
Speakers at the gathering described Kim Jong Il's visit to Indonesia as a historic event that opened a new chapter of the DPRK-Indonesia friendship, expressing the belief that the long-standing bilateral relations of friendship would grow stronger in the future, too.
The participants in the gathering enjoyed an art performance of students and talked about the need to further develop the bilateral ties. And they deepened the friendship, singing songs and dancing.
