Present at the meetings were figures of the People's Front of Workers, Peasants and Students, the Revolutionary Socialist Party and the Communist Party of Peru, the Peru-Korea Friendship Institute for the Study of Juche Songun Policy, the Polish Communist Party, the Bulgarian Anti-Fascist Union, the Bulgarian Group for the Study of the Juche Idea, the Bulgaria-Korea Friendship Association, the University of Paris 5 and the University of Sorbonne of France, the Indian Society for the Study of Works of Kim Jong Il and the European Society for the Study of the Juche Idea and masses.

Speeches were made there.

Genaro Ledesma Izquieta, chairman of the People's Front of Workers, Peasants and Students of Peru, said that the DPRK, not so big in territorial area and the number of population, is leading the imperialists by the nose while reliably defending its dignity. This is a shining fruition of the immortal contributions made by Kim Il Sung who built a socialist power independent in politics, self-supporting in the economy and self-reliant in national defence and laid a solid foundation of national defence capability, he added.

Roberto Carbonel Peso, president of the Peru-Korea Friendship Institute for the Study of Juche Songun Policy, said that what took the most important place in the exploits of Kim Il Sung is that he founded the immortal Juche idea and successfully applied it.

Juzef Lachut, chairman of the National Executive Committee of the Polish Communist Party, praised the undying exploits of Kim Il Sung who devoted his all to the prosperity of the country and the happiness of the people, stressing that he is always alive in the hearts of the Korean people with Songun Korea.

A member of the leadership of the Bulgaria-Korea Friendship Association said that Kim Il Sung is an prominent great man who always lives in the hearts of the progressive humankind for his enormous feats.

Edmond Jouve, director-general of the European Society for the Study of the Juche Idea, said that the Songun cause of Juche pioneered by Kim Il Sung is being successfully accomplished by General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

Messages to Kim Jong Il were adopted at the events held in Poland and Bulgaria.

Meanwhile, Otete Gaston Mboyo, chairman of the National Committee of the Genuine Lumumbist Patriotic Party of Democratic Congo, released a statement on April 6 on the occasion of the Day of the Sun.
