Korea's Reunification Supported
Pyongyang, April 12 (KCNA) -- Eddie Kekana, chairman of the Group for the Study of the Progressive Ideas of South Africa who is also chairman of the Pretoria Branch of the Democratic Teachers Union of South Africa, released a statement on Apr. 4 on the occasion of the 16th anniversary of the publication of President Kim Il Sung's work "10-Point Programme of the Great Unity of the Whole Nation for the Reunification of the Country."

The statement said that Kim Il Sung indicated detailed ways for founding independent, peaceful and neutral reunified state through the great unity of the nation and achieving the unity of the nation in the 10-point programme.

It noted that all the Korean people are dynamically waging the struggle for achieving reunification of the country through the great unity of the nation true to the noble patriotic intention for reunification of General Secretary Kim Jong Il who is successfully carrying forward the President's idea of reunification.

It stated that today all the world progressive people positively support the stand of the DPRK to achieve reunification of the country through the great unity of the nation not depending on foreign forces and hope that the division of Korea would end as early as possible.

We regard that the key to Korea's reunification lies in achieving the great unity of the whole Korean nation as indicated in the above-said programme set forth by Kim Il Sung, it stressed.

It asserted that the south Korean ruling forces should drop the anti-reunification and treacherous policy and make a switchover to reconciliation and cooperation between the north and the south.
