The statement said that the 10-point programme carrying President Kim Il Sung's noble patriotic idea that the gate to national reunification should be opened by the united efforts of the whole nation is the immortal great programme which ushered in the historic June 15 era of reunification.

All Koreans in the north and south of Korea and overseas will solve all the problems in the idea of "By our nation itself" on the basis of the three charters for national reunification formulated by Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, it stressed.

The statement bitterly slashed at the joint military exercises recently staged by the U.S. and south Korea against the DPRK with mobilization of huge armed forces and condemned traitor Lee Myung Bak for totally denying the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration and the October 4 declaration and pursuing the policy of sycophancy toward the U.S., anti-reunification and confrontation with the DPRK while going against the trend of the times toward reunification.

It demanded that the new administration of the U.S put an end to the anachronistic hostile policy towards the DPRK and provide an international environment favorable for Korea's reunification.

The statement called upon all the political parties, governments and organizations in the world hoping for peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula and the reunification of Korea to inspiringly encourage the WPK and the Korean people in the struggle to realize the cause of independent reunification of the country according to the 10-point programme.
