Lee Myung Bak Regime's Moves to Intensify Suppression of Media Castigated
Pyongyang, April 7 (KCNA) -- Political parties including the Democratic Labor Party and organizations including the Media Persons' Union of south Korea held a rally in Seoul on April 2 in protest against the puppet gang's suppression of media.

If Lee's evil bills, the evil bills on media, in particular, which his "government" is working hard to railroad through the "National Assembly", this will bring an era of darkness to this land, the speakers at the rally warned, calling for checking the authorities' moves to make a retrogressive revision of laws on media without fail.

They vowed to exert all efforts for preserving the impartiality and autonomy of media in the future.

A resolution read out there pointed out that the recent reckless moves of the authorities to intensify the suppression of media have reached an extreme phase, adding that the above-said parties and organizations would stage actions to check the NA carriage of evil bills on media by pooling efforts with forces of conscience and mobilizing all available means.

The Pastors' Council for Realizing Justice and Peace of south Korea and other religious organizations held a press conference in Seoul on March 31 in protest against the group of traitors' suppression of media.

Speakers at the conference warned that the Lee "government" will not be able to escape its doom if it persistently works to deteriorate the situation under the pretext of "security."

A press release read out at the conference demanded the authorities stop the crackdown upon media and set free the detained media persons at once.
