Condolences Expressed over Death of Hong Song Nam
Pyongyang, April 1 (KCNA) -- Officials of the Party, armed forces and power organs, working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions, servicepersons of the Korean People's Army and working people from all walks of life Wednesday visited the bier of the late Hong Song Nam, chief secretary of the South Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and concurrently alternate member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK and deputy to the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, to express deep condolences over his death.

Seen standing by the side of the bier of the deceased was a wreath sent by General Secretary
Kim Jong Il.

Placed there were wreaths from the Central Committee of the WPK, the Presidium of the SPA and the Cabinet of the DPRK, armed forces organs, working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions, Party and power organs in Pyongyang and South Hamgyong Province.

The condolers paid silent tribute to the late Hong and expressed deep condolences to the bereaved family.

That day the diplomatic corps and representatives of international organizations here and overseas compatriots staying in the homeland visited the bier to express condolences over Hong's death.

The diplomatic corps and representatives of international organizations here placed a wreath on behalf of the diplomatic corps and paid silent tribute to the deceased.
