Behaviors of Judicial Authorities Blasted in S. Korea
Pyongyang, March 11 (KCNA) -- A justice of the puppet Supreme Court of south Korea forced judges to give a verdict of guilt to those who have been detained because of their participation in the candlelight actions in a trial of them and urged the judges to continue the trial till a decision of the constitutional court on the candle-light demonstration is made and draw a conclusion according to the laws now in force.

The chief justice of the Supreme Court was also involved in such reckless conduct.

The Bar Association for Democratic Society in south Korea said in its statement on Mar. 5 that such behavior of the justice was an act of betraying a justice's conscience and violating the laws. This case goes to clearly prove that the judicial authorities have been reduced to a waiting maid of the power, it pointed out.

The Citizens Federation for Economic Justice, too, made public a statement saying it was fully revealed through the recent case that the judicial authorities are cooking up the results of trials to meet the demand of the power. The statement warned that the Supreme Court would face a strong resistance of the people if it covers up the truth of the case and hushes it up.

The Solidarity for Progress in its statement expressed indignation and astonishment at the judicial authorities' flattery to the power and demanded that the truth behind the case be clarified.
