The British Association for the Study of Songun Policy and the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea said this in a joint statement on Feb. 27 denouncing the U.S. imperialists and the south Korean warmongers' joint military exercises, Key Resolve and Foal Eagle.

Expressing deep apprehension over the scheme of the U.S. imperialists and the south Korean authorities to stage such military exercises at a time when the situation of the Korean Peninsula is getting extremely strained due to their reckless anti-DPRK, anti-reunification policy, the statement strongly censured their madcap exercises.

Nobody can assure that the said war games will not lead to an actual war as they are to be staged when the U.S. and the south Korean authorities are letting loose a spate of belligerent remarks against the DPRK, said the statement.

Reiterating the support to the statement issued by a spokesman for the General Staff of the Korean People's Army, the joint statement expressed belief that the KPA and the Korean people would deal a merciless blow to the aggressors if they ignite a new war of aggression in Korea.

The British Branch of the Korean Friendship Association headquartered in Spain sent a letter to the chief executive of the U.S. on Feb. 28 in protest against the said joint military drills.

The letter strongly urged the U.S. imperialists and the south Korean war-thirsty forces to immediately stop the joint military exercises and withdraw the U.S. troops from south Korea.
