Rodong Sinmun today observes in a signed commentary in this regard:

Those remarks are nothing but sophism aimed at covering up their black-hearted nature as a disturber of the inter-Korean relations and peace.

The group of traitors is clinging to the coattails of outside forces with an eye to do harm to and stifle fellow countrymen, far from opting for doing good things for the nation. Such disgusting acts clearly prove that they are steeped in the plot of treachery to the marrow of their bones with an aim to stand in confrontation with the DPRK to the last and realize its wild dream of "unification through invading the north" at any cost with the backing of foreign forces.

The Lee clique, driven to a tight corner at home and abroad, is hell bent on finding a way out of it in the inter-Korean confrontation and dependence on outside forces. It, however, should clearly understand that such acts would only spark off bitterer resentment of south Koreans from all walks of life and deteriorate situation and thus deepen the crisis of collapse.

Steadfast is the will of the revolutionary armed forces and people of the DPRK to counter the group of traitors' provocation with merciless punishment.

If the group desperately opts for cooperation with outsiders, persistently taking issue with the DPRK, the provokers will be made to pay dearly for their crimes.

The Lee group had better stop foolish acts and behave with discretion.
