Pyongyang, March 7 (KCNA) -- Pak Hyon Suk, weight-lifter of the Amnokgang Sports Team of the DPRK was selected as one of the best ten weight-lifters of the world women's weightlifting in the vote of selecting the best players for Juche 97 (2008).
The International Weightlifting Federation initiated the nomination of male and female best players through its website at the end of the year of 2008 and held the vote, the first of its kind.
Pak Hyon Suk lifted 106kg in snatch and 135kg in jerk, total 241kg with rapid lifting and attachment movement in the 63kg category of the women's weightlifting of the 29th Olympiad and thus won a gold medal, surpassing the likely winner.
Her nomination clearly shows the level of the developing weightlifting event of the DPRK.
