Lee Myung Bak's Violation of Democracy and Human Rights under Fire
Pyongyang, March 4 (KCNA) -- Traitor Lee Myung Bak can never evade stern punishment by history and the nation for the crime he has committed by turning south Korea into a veritable hell where democracy and human rights are wantonly violated through "pragmatic fascist" rule, says Rodong Sinmun Wednesday in a signed article. It goes on:

Since his seizure of power the traitor has converted south Korea into a dark society devoid of democratic freedom and rights and a graveyard of human rights where dictatorship and repression are rampant.

The patriotic democratic forces which called for national reconciliation and unity and reunification through alliance with the north have been systematically suppressed and stamped out, progressive media has been gagged by the fascist tyranny and people's struggle for right to existence has become a target of harsh suppression. This is a stark reality of south Korea. The recent murder of evacuees in Ryongsan, Seoul was a vivid expression of the hard reality in south Korea, a tundra of democracy and human rights.

The article cites facts to prove that the treacherous policy pursued by traitor Lee is a reactionary one speaking for the interests of a handful of big businesses and ultra-right conservatives and actively supporting them in all fabrics of social life including politics, economy and culture and a fascist dictatorial policy ruthlessly violating the independent rights of people by dint of law and violence.

The Lee Myung Bak group has so far incited confrontation talking about "human rights issue" of someone whenever an opportunity presented itself. But it was nothing but shameless sophism of the worst human rights abuser and the regime keen on abusing human rights.

The Lee group has neither justification nor face to talk about human rights as it pursues unpopular misrule and fascist rule while depriving the toiling masses of their elementary democratic freedom and right to existence.
