The work, published on March 1, Juche 82 (1993), deals with important issues arising in defending the socialist cause including the issue of making socialism one's faith and morality, the issue of giving full play to the advantages of socialism by successfully building it and the issue of thoroughly applying the principle of collectivism in all fabrics of social life, the article notes, and goes on:

The work serves as a powerful treasured sword which helps firmly maintain the purity of the socialist idea by frustrating all reactionary ideological offensives of the imperialists, precious ideological and moral pabulum which helps the army and people of the DPRK grasp the advantages of Korean-style socialism as their faith and great guidelines for making sure that the principle of collectivism is thoroughly applied in all fabrics of social life.

The people in the DPRK have been educated in the socialist idea of Juche under the care of the great Party for several decades and keenly realized through their life experience that the ideology, culture and way of life in the DPRK are the best. No matter what cunning and sinister methods the imperialists may employ in the future, they can never deprive its servicepersons and people of the soul of socialism enshrined in their hearts.

The Workers' Party of Korea has always shaped the line and all policies, placing the people's interests above everything and reflecting their requirements and wishes and consistently enforced social policies for the people even under the difficult conditions. The people in the DPRK more keenly feel the popular nature of Korean socialism and are increasingly grateful to its system as the days go by.

It is the greatest honor and pride of the DPRK that it has firmly preserved the true nature of socialism, the collectivist principle and lifestyle in the arduous struggle over the last more than decade.

The people of the DPRK are now more thoroughly applying the collectivist principle in the revolution and construction, guided by the ideas and theories expounded in the work while waging a general offensive to open the gate to a great prosperous powerful nation with the torch of a new great revolutionary surge.
