Koreans to Certainly Force Japan to Pay Price for Its Crimes
Pyongyang, March 1 (KCNA) -- The Korean people will certainly give vent to their grudge and resentment pent-up through centuries and settle accounts with Japan, their sworn enemy, for the crimes committed by it through history to force it to pay thousand-fold for the blood shed by Koreans, says Rodong Sinmun in a signed article.

It cites facts to disclose the motive of the March First Popular Uprising in 1919 and how it progressed and the Japanese imperialists' brutal suppression and killing of the participants in the uprising, adding that the Japanese imperialists' barbarous suppression of the participants in the uprising was an unpardonable crime against humanity as they ruthlessly violated the elementary political freedom and rights of the Korean people and their right to existence. This, therefore, was the brutal atrocities in gross violation of international law.

It goes on:

Nearly a century has passed since the uprising and more than six decades since the Japanese imperialists suffered a defeat. But the aggressive nature and ambition of the Japanese reactionaries remain unchanged and their moves for reinvasion have become evermore undisguised.

Japan is the unpardonable sworn enemy who has done only harm to the Korean people through history.

From the outset of the past century up to today, Japan has committed immeasurable crimes against the Korean people. The Korean people are keeping all of them in stock.

No statute of limitations is applicable to the crimes against humanity.

The soul of those who shouted hoarse "Long live independence of Korea!" even shedding blood and falling down at the bayonets of the Japanese imperialists during the uprising still calls for revenge.

The Korean people's bitterness toward Japan is rising sky-high today. The Koreans will certainly force Japan to pay a dear price for its crimes.
