GNP's Moves to Railroad Evil Bills Rebuffed
Pyongyang, March 1 (KCNA) -- The Media Action, the Solidarity for Progress, the Citizens' Solidarity for Democratic Society and other civic and public organizations of south Korea held a press conference in front of the building of the puppet National Assembly on Feb. 26 at which they denounced the "Grand National Party" for its moves to railroad Lee Myung Bak's evil bills.

At the press conference the speakers recalled that the GNP which is playing the role of a voting machine of the Lee Myung Bak regime on Feb. 25 brought the "bill on media" up for discussion at the Committee of Culture, Sports, Tourism, Broadcasting and Communications of the "National Assembly".

Declaring the bill totally null and void, they said that they would escalate the struggle to judge the present regime in case the Lee "government" and the GNP railroad the undemocratic Lee's evil bills bringing the people's livelihood to destitution at any cost.

The Citizens Federation for Democratic Press made public a statement titled "Will the GNP opt for catastrophic situation in the end" on the same day.

The statement accused the GNP of dealing a blow to the people once again on Feb. 25, one year since Lee took office.

It stressed that they would join the Press Trade Union in its general strike to have the NA discussion of the "bill on media" cancelled.
