Present there were Kim Yong Il, Choe Thae Bok and leading officials of party and power organs, working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions, officials of model farms and agricultural workers.

The participants listened to the recorded speech "Let Us Fully Apply the Juche Method of Farming to Bring about a New Upsurge in Agricultural Production" made by President Kim Il Sung at the National Agricultural Conference, on January 27, Juche 67 (1978).

A report was delivered by Minister of Agriculture Kim Chang Sik at the meeting to be followed by speeches.

The reporter and speakers referred to the fact that Kim Il Sung made public his work "Theses on the Socialist Rural Question in Our Country" on February 25, Juche 53 (1964), unrolling a brilliant blueprint for building socialist countryside and bringing about a change in the nation's agricultural development.

They said that General Secretary Kim Jong Il has attached great importance to the work for solving the problem of the people's food scarcity, the problem of food, adding that he set forth the policies for agricultural revolution including the policies of improving the seed, doing double cropping and boosting potato and soya bean output, busy as he was with providing Songun leadership, and has energetically led the drive for implementing them.

They called on all the officials and the agricultural workers to bring about great innovations and leaps forward in the agricultural production under the banner of Songun and thus positively contribute to the building of a great prosperous and powerful nation.
