Moves to Tighten U.S.-South Korea Military Nexus Flayed
Pyongyang, February 21 (KCNA) -- The United States is talking about "strengthened posture of military counter-action" while steadily amassing aggressor forces in south Korea and Japan and other areas around the Korean Peninsula. The commander of the U.S. forces in south Korea, in a recent lecture, let loose bellicose remarks that the U.S. and south Korean forces are closely following the "north's attitude" and they are getting ready to jointly counter any "provocation from the north."

Rodong Sinmun Saturday observes in a signed commentary in this regard:

The U.S. bellicose forces' assertion about "rounding off the posture of combined counter-action" and "tightening U.S.-south Korea alliance" reveals their intention to stifle the DPRK by force of arms and maintain and strengthen its military edge in the Asia-Pacific region.

What is noteworthy in the U.S. recent attitude is that it is busy setting up the U.S.-south Korea "combined air force command" and the "combined reconnaissance group" and working out a new joint military "operation plan" to replace the "OPLAN 5027." This indicates that the U.S. is making desperate efforts to tighten the military siege to the DPRK and stifle the DPRK by force of arms.

The moves of the U.S. and south Korea to tighten their military nexus betray the design of the U.S. bellicose forces to drive the south Korean puppets to perpetrating military provocations against the DPRK and launch a new all-out war on the Korean Peninsula under that pretext.

The moves to create the above-said mechanisms are intended to get the U.S. forces and the south Korean puppet forces ready for the war and round off the joint military operational capability. They are also designed to hold a military edge in the Asia-Pacific region.

If the U.S. war-thirsty forces are allowed to continue frantically stepping up the moves for another Korean war in pursuit of the reinforced military edge in that region, the situation on the Korean Peninsula will reach an unpredictable phase and the U.S. will be held wholly accountable for the ensuing consequences.

The U.S. warlike forces would be well advised to face up to the trend of the situation and stop their reckless military moves against peace.
