Candlelight Memorial Rally Held in S. Korea
Pyongyang, February 10 (KCNA) -- A candlelight rally took place in the vicinity of Chonggye Plaza, Seoul, on Feb. 7 to honor the memory of the slain evacuees in Ryongsan under the sponsorship of the All-People Committee for Measures against the Murder of Evacuees in Ryongsan, according to CBS of south Korea.

That day people from all walks of life, 15,000 in all, took to the streets in defiance of the puppet police which totally blocked off the plaza from the previous day to check the rally from being held.

The participants of the rally accused the Lee Myung Bak regime of its fascist outrage against citizens who protested against the Ryongsan incident, not content with the brutal murder of innocent evacuees.

After the rally they marched to Myongdong Cathedral.

Candlelight actions were simultaneously staged in Pusan, Ulsan and 8 other cities in south Korea on the same day.
