Removal of "Enemy-Benefiting" Label Attached to Hanchong Called for in S. Korea
Pyongyang, February 9 (KCNA) -- The Action Headquarters of the 17th-term south Korean Federation of University Student Councils made public a statement entitled "We bitterly denounce the court decision to define the south Korean Council of Youth Organizations (Hanchong) as an enemy-benefiting organization" on Feb. 4.

The statement accused the Supreme Court of making a decision to define Hanchong as an "enemy-benefiting organization" on January 30 at last, adding that it is a clear indication showing to what phase the Lee Myung Bak regime's suppression under the pretext of "security" has reached.

Saying that Hanchong has conducted various activities to contribute to achieving reunification, the desire of the Koreans, and to the settlement of the issue of the youth unemployment, etc, the statement deplored that the Lee dictatorial regime, however, attached the "enemy-benefiting" label to it branding its activities as "dangerous ones", an act which can be done only by the Lee dictatorial regime.

The youth and students will never pardon the suppression aimed at restricting the activities of progressive organizations, the statement noted, demanding the Lee regime remove the "enemy-benefiting" label unreasonably attached to Hanchong and step down at once.
