Kim Jong Il Appreciates Art Performance of Servicepersons
Pyongyang, February 6 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il together with servicepersons appreciated a performance given by the art squad of KPA Large Combined Unit 324.

Among the audience were Generals of the KPA Hyon Chol Hae and Ri Myong Su and other commanding officers of the army, Kim Ki Nam, secretary of the C.C., the WPK, and other leading officials of the C.C., the WPK.

Members of the art squad put on the stage male solo "We Long for You, General", male chorus "It Is Me", female chorus "Soldier Felt Warmth in His Heart" and other numbers of various genres.

The performers truthfully represented the iron faith and will of the servicepersons to devotedly safeguard the headquarters of the revolution and accomplish the revolutionary cause of Juche that started in the thick forests of Mt. Paektu with arms.

They, at the same time, fully exhibited such enthusiasm and spirit with which they encouraged the soldiers to wage struggles and perform feats by conducting militant frontline agitation at the sides of trenches, drill grounds and construction sites, thus clearly proving the validity and vitality of the WPK's policy of conducting art activities the way the anti-Japanese guerrillas did and strikingly demonstrating the might of soldiers' art group which creditably performs its sacred mission as a bugler in the Songun era by instilling the ardent love for the Party and the leader and the country and the people into the servicepersons.

He praised the members of the art squad for conducting dynamic art activities for the ideological education of the servicepersons.

Noting that the art agitation with great influence and strong appeal in the ideological education of the servicepersons is of very weighty importance, he set forth tasks for intensifying the revolutionary and militant art agitation.
