Anti-"government" Struggle Staged in S. Korea
Pyongyang, February 3 (KCNA) -- A struggle was staged in Seoul on Sunday to condemn traitor Lee Myung Bak for brutal killing and check the scheme for enacting unpopular laws.

Attending it were members of the Democratic Labor Party and other political parties, the Solidarity Council of Civic and Public Organizations, the People's Council for Livelihood and Democracy and the "Media Action" and bereaved families, over 20,000 in all.

A rally was held in Chonggye plaza. Speakers there charged that though ten odd days have passed since the tragic incident in Ryongsan, the Lee Myung Bak "government" is busy shifting the blame for the incident on to others while painting a distorted picture of it.

Expressing irrepressible anger at the authorities who are evading their responsibility for the death of innocent evacuees, they said that Lee Myung Bak is the chief culprit of the tragedy.

They declared that the people from all walks of life would launch an all-people struggle in unity to check the moves for enacting the undemocratic evil laws intended to deteriorate the people's livelihood.

Then there was a candlelight event for mourning the dead. The participants called for overthrowing the man-killing "government", saying that it is committing double murder of the victims by mobilizing the prosecution, instead of making apology for the incident.

What the bereaved families demand is an apology from the "government" and its step to prevent the recurrence of such case, they said, declaring that they would continue the struggle until a thoroughgoing probe into the truth about the case and the punishment of murderers have been made.

At the end of the rally, they staged a demonstration.
