Puppet Prosecution's Suppression of Teachers Protested in S. Korea
Pyongyang, January 28 (KCNA) -- The Teachers Union of south Korea (Jongyojo) released a statement on Jan. 22 condemning the puppet prosecution for suppressing teachers affiliated to it.

The statement accused the prosecution of trying to prosecute 13 incumbent teachers affiliated to Jongyojo on the charge that they conducted an "illegal election campaign" during the "election of the Seoul education superintendent" last year.

It recalled that the prosecution announced the results of the mid-term investigation defending the present Seoul education superintendent who spent a stupendous amount of money during the above-said election, denouncing it for suppressing even teachers affiliated to Jongyojo by linking them to the above-mentioned charge, lending no ear to the voices of the people condemning the prosecution's action as "one siding with the regime" and "killing those forces critical of it."

The statement demanded the prosecution stop acting a "waiting maid for the ruling force," retract the indictment against the incumbent teachers and conduct an investigation into the irregularities and corruption committed by the present Seoul education superintendent.
