The builders of the station finished on the highest level the overall projects, such as waterway tunneling, dam building, pressure conduit project, assembling of equipment and building of generating room and electric power system, by introducing advanced building methods after working out a rational dam design of Korean style under the difficult conditions that everything was in need.

General Secretary Kim Jong Il clearly indicated the orientation and ways for its construction several times and preferentially provided everything needed. Recently he visited again the completed station and gave pep talk to the workers out in the new year's advance movement, expressing great satisfaction at the fact that the builders have successfully constructed the modern power station of historic significance.

The completion of the station, which was successfully built as a admirable edifice in the era of Songun in the wake of the Anbyon Youth Power Station and Anbyon Youth Power Station No.2, helped completely carry into practice President Kim Il Sung's last instructions on establishing a competent hydro-power base in Kangwon Province and Kim Jong Il's far-reaching plan for providing the people with happier life.
