Conservative Media's False Propaganda Assailed in S. Korea
Pyongyang, January 10 (KCNA) -- The civic and public organizations of south Korea including the People's Council for Livelihood and Democracy and Media Action called a press conference in front of the Chosun Ilbo on Jan. 6 to denounce conservative media for conducting false propaganda to support the puppet authorities' moves to railroad evil bills through the "National Assembly."

At the conference speakers accused such conservative media as the Chosun Ilbo, the Choongang Ilbo and the Dong-A Ilbo of giving wide publicity to the misinformation provided by the conservative forces to railroad "Lee Myung Bak's evil bills" through the NA.

They recalled the fact that the conservative media, which described the general strike staged by the Press Trade Union as "collective egoism" and the like, are now working hard to take over broadcasting services in return for concealing their management sides' histories of pro-Japanese acts and taking the lead in the campaign to help Lee win the "presidential election."

The people's resentment not only against the Lee regime and the "Grand National Party" but against the conservative media serving them is running high, they said, warning that the people would punish the above-said three media without fail, unless they come to their senses.

A press release read out at the conference accused the three conservative media of releasing only false reports over the issue of enacting unpopular evil laws including the "law on assembly and demonstration" and "cyber contempt."

Their wild dream to put broadcasting services under their control will never come true, it stressed.
