The statement referred to the fact that the solidarity branded the suppression of the security authorities as a "retaliation against candlelight actions", a "plot to scrap the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration" and "case fabricated to tide over the ruling crisis," formed an emergency measure committee and has since staged a sit-in strike, called press conferences and conducted a hunger strike and a court struggle, etc.

The statement accused the security authorities of having resorted to such sinister moves as misinterpreting the time to form the above-said body in a bid to arrest the activities of the solidarity by invoking the "National Security Law" and branding even its participation in the legal event for the south-north non-governmental exchange as a violation of "the NSL provision on entry and meeting" and "contact."

The security authorities are working hard to escalate the moves for fabricating the case to label the above-said body an "enemy-benefiting organization" as the truth behind the illegal investigation conducted by the security authorities has become gradually clear.

Terming the plot of the security authorities to hype the above-said case an artifice to justify the moves of the Lee Myung Bak regime for confrontation with fellow countrymen and its dictatorial policy, the statement declared the solidarity would wage a more dynamic struggle to foil the plot of Lee and the security authorities to disorganize and destroy the above-said body.
