Pyongyang, January 8 (KCNA) -- The Swiss preparatory committee to celebrate February 16, the birthday of General Secretary Kim Jong Il, was inaugurated in Basel on January 1.
Martin Lotscher, chairman of the Switzerland-Korea Committee, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.
The preparatory committee set the celebration period from January 1 to February 17 and decided to widely introduce the undying feats and revolutionary activities of Kim Jong Il through media and hold colorful political and cultural events in the period.
