Pyongyang, December 31 (KCNA) -- The 2nd Kimilsungia-Kimjongilia Show was held in Hunchun from Dec. 17 to 20 on the occasions of the 17th anniversary of General Secretary Kim Jong Il's assumption of supreme commandership of the Korean People's Army and the 91st birth anniversary of anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk.
Potted Kimilsungias and Kimjongilias in full bloom in the venue of the show presented fantastic scenery.
Present at the opening ceremony were figures from all walks of life and people and Koreans in Hunchun City and Yanji City. Present there on invitation were the consul general and staff members of the Consulate General of the DPRK in Shenyang.
Yang Hongzhun, general manager of the Kimilsungia-Kimjongilia Greenhouse in Hunchun of China, and other speakers at the ceremony expressed belief that the show opened to observe the significant day would mark an important opportunity of boosting the Sino-DPRK friendship. Noting that the world people's response to the said flowers is becoming livelier as the days go by, they added that this is humankind's manifestation of profound reverence for President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.
