It was divided into the group of sports persons and the group of players from among working people.

Men players of the Pyongyang City Winter Sports Group and women players of the Jagang Provincial Sports Group came first in ice hockey in the group of sports persons and men players of the South Hamgyong Provincial Sports Group and women players of the Pyongyang City Winter Sports Group in speed skating and men and women players of the Paekmasan Sports Group in short track speed skating.

Players of the Sports Group of the Pyongyang Railway Bureau placed first in men and women's single and pair figure skating while players of the Pyongyang City Winter Sports Group took the first place in ice dancing and players of the Sobaeksu Sports Group in men's and women's fixed-distance skiing and men's alpine skiing and those of the North Hamgyong Provincial Sports Group in women's alpine skiing.

Players of Ryanggang Province gained good results in speed skating and ski races in the group of players from among working people, thus coming first in team standing.
