Lee Myung Bak Group's Talk about "Dialogue" Termed Hypocritical
Pyongyang, December 22 (KCNA) -- Whenever an opportunity presents itself Lee Myung Bak and his high-ranking officials assert that they would "settle" all issues of the inter-Korean relations "through dialogue on the basis of co-existence and co-prosperity" and they are "ready for dialogue."

Rodong Sinmun Monday observes in a signed commentary in this regard.

It goes on:

What they are talking about "dialogue" does not match with the frantic racket of confrontation with the DPRK they have staged so far because this is, in essence, nothing but a renewed despicable racket of confrontation and a crafty move to bedevil the inter-Korean relations under the signboard of "dialogue."

If the south Korean authorities truly wish to have inter-Korean dialogue, they should clarify their stand to respect the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration and their will to implement them before uttering any word about it. This would be a proper order of their behavior.

It is not hard to guess what sort of "dialogue" the Lee group is touting and what it is seeking through it. The Lee group has only a wild ambition to stand in confrontation with the DPRK to the last.

The Lee group has pushed the inter-Korean relations to the present phase of total severance, seized with the extremely wild ambition for confrontation with fellow countrymen. It has been driven into the worst crisis by the strong protest and denunciation from the public at home and abroad.

The spate of nonsensical talk about "dialogue" made by the group is nothing but a revelation of its criminal intention to mislead the public opinion at home and abroad and misuse the inter-Korean dialogue for achieving their sinister political aim.

The Lee group can never be a dialogue partner of the DPRK as long as it regards its dialogue partner as "the principal enemy," opposed to the above-said declarations, and pursues its criminal scenario to do harm to it in collusion with foreign forces.

Hypocritical is the "dialogue" much publicized by those who seek confrontation with daggers hidden behind their belts. No one would lend an ear to such crafty and capricious jargon about "dialogue" no matter how often it may let loose.

It is a pipedream and foolhardy act of precipitating self-destruction for the group to seek a way out in persistently standing in confrontation with the DPRK.

The south Korean authorities would be well advised to face up to the trend of the times and stop their rash acts. They had better cease at once to trumpet about "dialogue" and make an apology to the whole nation for the acts of treachery they have committed by bedeviling the inter-Korean relations.
