Puppet Authorities' Suppression of Labor Movement under Fire
Pyongyang, December 13 (KCNA) -- The south Korean Confederation of Trade Unions issued a statement on Tuesday condemning the puppet authorities' suppression of its chairman.

Recalling that the Seoul Central District Court issued a warrant of arrest for Ri Sok Haeng, chairman of the confederation, on Monday in the wake of the police's arrest of him on Dec. 5, the statement noted this is nothing but politically motivated crackdown intended to incriminate the just struggle of the trade union organization and put it under the noose of suppression.

It demanded the security authorities stop acting a servant for the dictatorial regime and declare Ri not guilty and set him free at once.

Meanwhile, the Federation of south Korean Trade Unions, too, issued a statement on Monday in which it termed the suppression of the chairman of the south Korean Confederation of Trade Unions a shameless act for shifting the responsibility for the crime the present "government" committed by yielding to the U.S. pressure for the import of American beef onto others.
