Beauty Spots Change Appearances
Pyongyang, December 11 (KCNA) -- Scenic spots have been wonderfully arranged to ensure better cultural and emotional life to the people in the DPRK.

The Ryongaksan Pleasure Park in Pyongyang permeated with the warm love of the three generals of Mt. Paektu for the people has undergone a complete change.

The roads for climbing up Mt. Ryongak were leveled well and railings set up along the roads leading to curious rocks and other beauty spots. An observation platform was built on a rock in front of the Popun Temple, a relic belonging to Koguryo (277 B.C.-668 A.D.) so as to command a bird's-eye view of landscape of mountains and streams.

Resting sites and service facilities were set up properly here and there and various species of trees and flower trees planted to add beauty to the scenery of the mountain.

Mt. Jangsu, which is called Hwanghaekumgang (Mt. Kumgang in Hwanghae Province), has put on a new look.

Tens of kilometers-long road linking 12 turns of Mt. Jangsu was broadened and tens of kilometers-long tourist and mountaineering roads were built newly.

Observation platforms were built on Pojok and Hanui Hills, where visitors can enjoy a bird's-eye view of the beauty of the celebrated mountain and Unpha and Jangsu Lakes and hotels and folk game centers were constructed in different places for sightseers.

The Paekunsan Pleasure Park in Yonggwang County, South Hamgyong Province had colorful resting sites, pavilions and several camp-buildings constructed and some 20 kilometer-long sightseeing road from the Sanju Falls to Tongdae Falls was widened.

Besides, the Sokam Beauty Spot of South Phyongan Province and other scenic spots with folk game sites were arranged better to delight the visitors.
