Revolutionary Battle Sites and Revolutionary Sites in Area of Mt. Paektu Draw Endless Crowd of Visitors
Pyongyang, December 11 (KCNA) -- At least 1.4 million servicepersons of the Korean People's Army, people from all walks of life and school youth and children have visited revolutionary battle sites and revolutionary sites in the area of Mt. Paektu up to this date from the outset of this significant year in order to give steady continuity to the march of the revolution that started in the forest of Mt. Paektu.

Senior officials of the party, army and state, officials of units at all levels in Pyongyang and local areas, servicepersons of the KPA and working people in Ryanggang Province visited the old home of General Secretary Kim Jong Il in the secret camp in Mt. Paektu to hold an oath-taking meeting with splendor for celebrating February 16, his birthday, in the camp.

The study tour group of school youth and children from across the country toured the revolutionary battle sites and revolutionary sites in the area of Mt. Paektu on the occasion of February 16.

At least 240,000 visitors toured the anti-Japanese battle areas in the month of August which marked the 20th anniversaries of the field guidance given by President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il to the secret camp in Mt. Paektu and the naming of "Jong Il Peak."
