Sit-in Strike Launched against Moves to Institute Evil Law
Pyongyang, December 11 (KCNA) -- Members of the Solidarity for Progress of south Korea, the south Korean Confederation of Trade Unions and the Democratic Labor Party launched an emergency sit-in strike on the situation to "prevent Lee Myung Bak from enacting an evil law aimed at deteriorating the people's living and democracy" outside the "National Assembly" building in Seoul on December 8.

Speakers at a press conference held earlier said that the south Korean society is now finding itself in an evermore serious and crucial emergency situation due to the Lee "government's" moves to enact an evil law, adding that they would carry on the sit-in strike in protest against the present regime which has brought the people's living to destitution and trampled down upon the democratic rights.

They declared that they would curb and foil the moves to institute an unpopular evil law by enlisting the efforts of the people of broad strata critical of the Lee "government".

Noting that the "government's" brutal suppression is nothing but reckless acts of those in the grip of a crisis as it only precipitates its self-destruction, they called on all forces that share a will to solidarize with each other and wage an uncompromising stubborn struggle against it.
