S. Korea-U.S. "Economic Aid Agreement" under Fire
Pyongyang, December 10 (KCNA) -- Newspapers Wednesday carry by-lined articles 60 years since the United States and south Korea concluded a treacherous and shackling "economic aid agreement."

Rodong Sinmun in an article terms the south Korea-U.S. "economic aid agreement" an aggressive and shackling one fabricated by the U.S. to completely hold sway over politics and economy in south Korea and convert it into a U.S. military base and theater of its economic plunder under the signboard of "aid" and, at the same time, a treacherous "agreement" as the Syngman Rhee clique sold off the interests of the nation to the U.S. lock, stock, and barrel in return for maintaining its treacherous regime.

The catastrophic situation created by the International Monetary Fund in which untold sufferings and disaster were imposed upon the south Koreans in the period of the "civilian" regime was a product of the structural weakness of south Korean economy shackled to the U.S. monopoly capital, the article observes, and goes on:

The U.S. domination and subjugation of south Korea have become evermore pronounced due to the sycophancy and acts of treachery of the Lee Myung Bak regime that emerged under the signboard of "pragmatism."

The south Korea-U.S. FTA precisely means the south Korea-U.S. "economic aid agreement" of modern version.

FTA much advertised and pushed forward by the Lee group is nothing but an abyss of subjugation and ruin as it is aimed at driving the south Korean economy to bankruptcy. It is as clear as noonday that the treacherous regime's desperate efforts to conclude FTA, talking about the so-called "state interests," are bound to render the weak economy of south Korea bankrupt and seriously threaten the people's right to existence.

These hard historical facts go to prove that south Korea can neither be free from the foreign political, economic and military domination and subjugation nor can south Koreans get rid of misery and sufferings as long as the U.S. policy of occupation and domination over south Korea is allowed to persist and traitors hell-bent on sycophancy toward the U.S. are permitted to stay in power.

Minju Joson in an article notes that the six decades since the conclusion of the above-said agreement only witnessed the U.S.'s intensified plunder of the south Korean economy.
