More Dynamic Struggle for Peace Called for
Pyongyang, December 9 (KCNA) -- It is a pressing task facing progressive humankind at present to curb and frustrate the imperialists' moves for aggression and war and defend global peace and security.

Rodong Sinmun Tuesday observes this in a signed article.

It goes on:

To defend peace is an essential requirement for international security and development, a common cause of humankind as well as an international duty.

It is necessary to be vigilant against the hypocritical "defense of peace" and "guarantee of international security" much touted by the imperialists. They are persistent in high-handed practices and reckless moves for aggression while insisting that they are for the "defense of peace" and "guarantee of international security."

Only when all the anti-imperialist independent and peace-loving forces in the world unite to struggle against the imperialists' moves for aggression and war can they avert a war and ensure international security and peace.

The struggle against war has become a main form of the struggle for international security and peace and the U.S. imperialists are its main target. All the countries and people in the world desirous of peace should resolutely struggle against the U.S. imperialists' moves for aggression and war.

The Korean Peninsula has become the most dangerous hotbed of war in the world. Once a war breaks out on the peninsula, it will quickly develop into a world war. In that case, the existence of humankind will be put in danger and the world peace and security disturbed.

Peace can be firmly guaranteed only with dependable military power. It is the basic mission of the armed forces in the DPRK to realize and protect the aspiration and wishes of the Korean people for the security and peace of the country by force of arms.

The world progressive people are required to wage a more dynamic struggle to defend peace in order to ensure international security and development.
