Japanese Reactionaries Urged to Drop Their Hostile Policy toward DPRK
Pyongyang, December 9 (KCNA) -- The Japanese reactionaries' racket for suppressing the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) comes under fire by signed commentaries of newspapers Tuesday.

The security department of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Office of Japan arrested the former vice-chairman of the Tokyo Metropolitan Shinjuku Association of Korean Workers in Commerce in Japan while searching the offices of the Federation of Korean Workers in Commerce in Japan on Nov. 27. In the wake of this repressive action the department arrested the chief of the General Affairs Section of the organ on a groundless charge. Terming these actions hooliganism utterly disregarding law, human rights and ethics, Rodong Sinmun observes:

These actions of Japan are nothing but despicable anti-Chongryon rowdyism as they were a revelation of its extreme hostile policy toward the DPRK.

The Japanese reactionaries are making desperate efforts to take revenge upon the DPRK through a vicious campaign to crack down upon Chongryon and thus escape from international isolation and destruction.

Their brutal crackdown upon Chongryon and the Koreans in Japan is something unprecedented since the end of the Second World War. This has exposed the right of Chongryon and the Koreans in Japan to exist to grave threat. The Japanese reactionaries are, indeed, a group of hooligans and rogues bereft of an iota of conscience, humanity and morality.

It is all the more mean and wicked for the Japanese reactionaries to frantically kick up the racket of suppressing the Koreans who live in Japan in sorrow and mental agony far away from the homeland.

The Japanese reactionaries will certainly be forced to pay for the crimes they have committed by persistently cracking down upon Chongryon, pursuant to the hostile policy toward the DPRK.

Minju Joson says that their anti-Chongryon campaign is a product of their anachronistic hostile policy toward the DPRK. The Japanese reactionaries would be well advised to behave themselves, clearly understanding the Koreans' mounting bitterness toward Japan, it warns.
