Imperialists' Strategy for World Domination Bound to Go Bust
Pyongyang, December 4 (KCNA) -- No matter how desperately the imperialists may work, they can never succeed in dominating the world nor can they stem the trend of history towards independence.

Rodong Sinmun Thursday says this in a by-lined article.

It goes on:

The imperialists' strategy for world domination is bound to go bust because this diametrically runs counter to the law governing the development of history and the trend of the present times towards multi-polarization.

Socialism represents the ideal which embodies the intrinsic nature of social being desirous of leading an independent life on the basis of equality free from the exploitation and oppression of man by man. It is the inexorable law governing the development of history for humankind to head for socialism.

The imperialists are keen to hold in check the onward movement of history, a shift to socialism from capitalism, painting the collapse of socialism in some countries as the "end" of the cause of socialism. This is nothing but an anachronistic attempt.

History is sure to advance under the banner of independence.

The trend of the situation and changes taking place in Latin America go to prove that no force can deter the people from advancing along the road of independence and socialism.

It is the irresistible basic trend of the present times for all countries to call for independence and for the world to move towards multi-polarization. The U.S. is keen to dominate and subjugate other countries as it pleases, styling itself the world's "only super power" quite contrary to the above-said trend. This is, however, no more than a pipedream.

It is a hard reality that the imperialists' strategy to dominate the world is going bankrupt. This is neither temporary phenomenon nor something happening due to a temporary factor. It is the necessity of history that the imperialists' strategy to dominate the world against independence and humankind is bound to go bankrupt.
