New Puppet Dramas Produced
Pyongyang, December 2 (KCNA) -- The Pyongyang Puppet Show Troupe has recently produced new puppet dramas.

The puppet shows reflecting the juvenile mind vividly are put on the stage every day, arousing interest among school children.

The short piece "Janggo (a long Korean drum that tapers in the middle) Talent" represents finely the Korean traditional dance of turning round decorative tassels and janggo techniques with light and dynamic rhythm and peculiar skill and thus shows well that best is the tune of the Korean national music.

The short piece "Musical Entertainment of Our Sub-Branch" is based on the theme of preparing a musical entertainment of a sub-branch of the Children's Union. After appreciating it, school children say in unison they came to know well that if they pool strength, they can do anything difficult.

The short piece "Bullfrog and Bell Toad" adapted from a story that a small bullfrog beat back a big snake inculcates in the mind of the audience the truth that people can win the enemy only when they fight bravely against the enemy, not afraid of it.

In an interview with KCNA, Choe Man Gum, a section chief of the Pyongyang Puppet Theatre, said that a lot of school children come and see the puppet drama every day, adding:

While seeing the performance giving the truth and lesson of life, the viewers realize what a true life is and foster the spirit of loving justice.

We will make every effort to create more works good for raising the school children as reliable pillars of the country in the future, too.
