Japanese Reactionaries' Moves for Militarization under Fire
Pyongyang, November 18 (KCNA) -- The reactionary forces in Japan are now frantically pushing the country to militarization and reinvasion. Rodong Sinmun Tuesday observes this in a signed commentary.

The Japanese government recently took a measure of firing Tamogami from the post of chief of Staff of the Air "Self-Defence Force" for writing an essay deliberately distorting history and making reckless remarks justifying it, the commentary notes, and goes on:

This is, in fact, nothing but a crafty smokescreen to calm down the domestic and foreign public accusation and denunciation of those forces.

It is commonplace in Japan for politicians, historians and reptile media to negate its past history.

The Japanese society is getting more militarized as the days go by due to the reactionary ruling quarters' distortion of history.

Its businesses are squandering money for spreading militarist idea.

The Japan "Self-Defence Forces" (SDF) are seriously contaminated with militarist virus.

The military has exercised an increasing influence upon the politics since the Defence Agency was upgraded into the Defence Ministry. The "civilian-dominated society" may easily change into the "military-dominated society" in Japan in the future, if monopoly capital undisguisedly projects the military and the military is deeply involved in the administration of the government under that pretext against the backdrop of the ever-deepening political and economic crisis. Then all the militaristic developments in the first half of the 20th century will reoccur in a fresh manner in the 21st century. Herein lie the reactionary nature and danger of the Japanese society as proven by the case of Tamogami.

The Japanese monopoly capital helped the militarist forces seize power and allowed and instigated the military to wrest power, in particular, in the past. This was the reason why Asia and the rest of the world suffered so horrible disasters under the military dictatorship.

The present situation is quite different from that in the first half of the 20th century. People are remarkably enlightened and awakened.

Japan may suffer inescapable misfortune and disgrace if it continues going reckless, failing to face up to this change of history.
