S. Korean Conservative Authorities' Anti-DPRK Action Flayed
Pyongyang, November 12 (KCNA) -- The Central Committee of the DPRK Red Cross Society issued a statement Wednesday assailing the south Korean conservative authorities for their recent participation in co-sponsoring a "resolution on human rights of north Korea" to be submitted to the 63rd UN General Assembly.

The statement said:

As far as the "resolution on human rights of north Korea" is concerned, it is nothing but a groundless anti-DPRK burlesque staged by the U.S. and its followers at the UN. It is, indeed, something astonishing for the puppet authorities to become one of the "co-sponsors of the resolution" as a main culprit.

Worse still, the group of traitors had the paragraph supporting the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration deleted from the draft "resolution", the declarations which had already been supported by the UN unanimously, and thus saliently revealed its true colors as confrontationist with the DPRK after completely throwing away even the mask of "respect for the declarations" and the like.

The south Korean conservative authorities' involvement and fabrication of the UN "resolution on human rights of north Korea" is a blatant challenge to the dignity and system of the DPRK, a grave provocation to it and a total negation of the above-said declarations.

It is absolutely intolerable treacherous and anti-reunification act for the group of traitors to have brought somebody's non-existent "human rights" issue even to the international arena, daring to blatantly challenge the DPRK's dignity and system.

The DPRK has already repeatedly warned that should the south Korean conservative authorities hurt its dignity even a bit and persist in their reckless moves for confrontation with it, it will have no option but to make a crucial decision including the total severance of the inter-Korean relations.

Now that the above-said group is persistently keeping to the road of confrontation with compatriots in defiance of the DPRK's warnings and public opinion at home and abroad, the DPRK is compelled to take relevant measures.

The Central Committee of the DPRK Red Cross Society declares that it closes the Panmunjom Red Cross liaison mission, withdraw the delegates of the north side and cut off all the inter-Korean direct telephone channels passing through Panmunjom as the mission is unable to perform its function any longer due to the grave situation created by the south Korean conservative authorities.

The Lee group is entirely to blame for the deteriorated inter-Korean relations and the complete suspension of the Red Cross humanitarian work between the north and the south including the reunion of separated families and relatives.

The fate of the inter-Korean relations will depend on the attitude of the south Korean conservative authorities in the future.
