Iranian FM and His Party Feted
Pyongyang, November 12 (KCNA) -- The DPRK government hosted a reception in honor of Manouchehr Mottaki, Iranian foreign minister, and his party on a visit to the DPRK at the Mansudae Assembly Hall today.

Present there on invitation were the Iranian foreign minister and his party and Morteza Moradian, Iranian ambassador to the DPRK.

DPRK Foreign Minister Pak Ui Chun and officials concerned were on hand.

Pak in his speech said that the DPRK visit of the Iranian foreign minister and his party marks an important occasion in putting on a new higher level the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries the foundation of which was laid by President Kim Il Sung and top leaders of Iran.

He extended support and solidarity to the government and people of Iran in their struggle to defend its sovereignty from the pressure and blackmail of foreign forces.

He expressed the belief that the friendly and cooperative relations between the DPRK and Iran would continue to develop in the mutual interests in line with the desire of the two peoples.

Manouchehr Mottaki in his speech noted that the friendly ties between Iran and the DPRK are growing stronger in various fields including politics, economy and culture, recalling that the two countries have supported each other in the international arenas from the common stand.

He said that he and his party have witnessed successes achieved by the Korean people in the efforts to implement the last instructions of the President under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il.

Expressing conviction that the Korean people will register shining successes in the building of a great prosperous powerful nation and emerge victorious in the anti-imperialist struggle in the future, too, he stressed that Iran supports Korea's reunification.
