Anniversary of Establishment of DPRK-Poland Diplomatic Relations Marked
Pyongyang, October 29 (KCNA) -- A meeting and a joint performance took place in Warsaw on Oct. 17 on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the DPRK and Poland.

On display in the venue of the function were works of President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il, books and photos showing their undying exploits.

Present there were figures of the Central Committee of the Poland-Korea Association and various branches of the association and organizations for the study of the Juche idea and personages concerned and other people.

Present there on invitation were staff members of the DPRK embassy in Warsaw.

Andrzej Kozlowski, chairman of the Central Committee of the association, addressing the meeting said that Kim Il Sung liberated the country from the Japanese imperialists' military occupation and founded the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, thus enabling the Korean people to appear with pride as a dignified and independent people in the international arena and take the road of steady development.

He stressed that the friendly relations between the peoples of the two countries would steadily develop thanks to the historic roots and tradition of friendship provided by Kim Il Sung.

The reality of the DPRK today proves that the original Songun politics of Kim Jong Il serves as a sure guarantee and a powerful treasured sword for defending the sovereignty of the country and achieving peaceful reunification.

A joint art performance was staged by Polish artistes and staff members of the embassy.
