Brisk Autumn Land Management Campaign in DPRK
Pyongyang, October 27 (KCNA) -- A brisk autumn land management campaign goes on in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

What is the main in this campaign is to facelift the looks of roads, improve rivers and streams, plant good species of trees and beautify towns.

Efforts are channeled to giving a new appearance to roads across the country.

North Hamgyong Province is undertaking the work for widening roads, straightening curved roads and adjusting gradients in Kilju, Myongchon and other counties of the province.

Successes have been made in projects for lowering river beds, repairing dikes and covering them with stones.

A large-scale Singwang Stream conservation work is being done in South Hwanghae Province to protect a thousand and several hundred hectares of land under cultivation and to acquire a vast acreage of arable land.

Sonchon and Cholsan Counties of North Phyongan Province which have already reinforced several sections of dykes for controlling tidewater are pouring efforts into river dike repair projects. Similar work is being carried on in Yangdok, Sinyang and other counties and towns of South Phyongan Province.

Besides, provinces, cities and counties are preparing good species of tree saplings as Changsong larch to create forests and beautify cities.
