Kim Yong Nam Meets LPRP Delegation
Pyongyang, October 22 (KCNA) -- Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, today met and had a friendly talk with the delegation of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) led by Thongloun Sisoulith, member of the Political Bureau and chairman of the Commission for External Affairs of the Central Committee of the party who is vice-prime minister and minister of foreign affairs of the Lao government, at the Mansudae Assembly Hall.

Thongloun Sisoulith said that during his visit to the DPRK he was deeply impressed to see the Korean people working hard to vigorously accelerate the building of a great prosperous powerful socialist nation while smashing the moves of the imperialists under the leadership of General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

Noting that the country's reunification is the unanimous desire of the Korean people, he expressed belief that the Korea would certainly be reunified.

He said that he would make positive effort to develop the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries provided by President Kaysone Phomvihane and President Kim Il Sung.

Present there were Kim Thae Jong, vice department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, and Chaleune Warinthrasak, Lao ambassador to the DPRK.
