Delegation of LPRP Feted
Pyongyang, October 22 (KCNA) -- The Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea arranged a reception for the visiting delegation of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party at the People's Palace of Culture on Tuesday.

Present there on invitation were members of the party headed by Thongloun Sisoulith, member of the Political Bureau and chairman of the Commission for External Affairs of the Central Committee of the party who is vice-prime minister and minister of foreign affairs of the Lao government, and Chaleune Warinthrasak, Lao ambassador to the DPRK.

Present there were Choe Thae Bok, secretary of the WPK Central Committee, and others and officials concerned.

Choe Thae Bok said, addressing the reception, that the WPK is pleased with the fact that the Lao people have achieved success in the struggle to implement the decision of the 8th Congress of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party.

Noting that it is the common desire of the two peoples to boost the friendly relations between the two parties and the two countries provided by President Kim Il Sung and Kaysone Phomvihane, he expressed belief that the friendly relations between the two parties and the two countries would grow stronger thanks to their joint efforts.

Thongloun Sisoulith said in his speech that the WPK and the fraternal Korean people have achieved great successes in defending the country and socialist construction.

He stressed that the friendly and cooperative relations between the two parties and the two countries with a long history and tradition have grown stronger under the deep concern of General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

He said that the Lao party, government and people are rejoiced over the fact that the WPK and the Korean people are accelerating the building of a great prosperous powerful socialist nation, true to the Songun idea, and extend congratulations to them.
