Stop to Suppression of Candlelight Actions Demanded in S. Korea
Pyongyang, October 22 (KCNA) -- The Democratic Labor Party of south Korea held a meeting to vow to put an end to the suppression of the candlelight struggle and punish the chief culprit responsible for economic bankruptcy in Seoul on Oct. 18.

Speakers at the meeting denounced the Lee Myung Bak group for intensifying the investigation into people from all walks of life these days under the pretext of "eliminating pro-north leftist forces."

Accusing the Lee group of deteriorating the people's living by pursuing a policy of serving outside forces, they vowed to struggle for economic recovery and democracy.

They urged the Lee group to stop the crackdown upon the candlelight struggle and set forth a policy for stabilizing the people's living, in stead of working hard to evade the blame for the expropriation of subsidies to rice cultivators.
